From the UWV site

UWV (Employee Insurance Agency) is an autonomous administrative authority (ZBO) and is commissioned by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment (SZW) to implement employee insurances and provide labour market and data services. The Dutch employee insurances are provided for via laws such as the WW (Unemployment Insurance Act), the WIA (Work and Income according to Labour Capacity Act, which contains the IVA (Full Invalidity Benefit Regulations) and WGA (Return to Work (Partially Disabled) Regulations)), the Wajong (Disablement Assistance Act for Handicapped Young Persons), the WAO (Invalidity Insurance Act), the WAZ (Self-employed Persons Disablement Benefits Act), the Wazo (Work and Care Act) and the Sickness Benefits Act.

The text above is from the UWV. The UWV is the place in the Netherlands people go to when they are unemployed (do not have a job), or are unable to work.

The UWV can provide some income, but will also try to help you find a job.

The UWV also needs to help people in English because Europe has a single market for employees.

But this English on the UWV site is too difficult for many people. Can you make it easier?

To help people find a job, the UWV wants you

to create an informative website with;

·         One clear name, logo and style

·         A film that shows do’s and don’ts in job interviews

·        All the usefull information and links

And a folder, with the same information

·         In simple but correct English

·         About finding a job in The Netherlands
